BASIC TRAINING NETS

Basic Training Branch


These builds are based on 1/10th Scale 4x4 Builds

BODY:

  • All bodies must be made of ABS Plastic, or 3D Printed bodies. All 3D printed bodies must be .060” thick.

  • All Bodies must be modeled after a real manufactured Truck, SUV, body. No flatbeds. 

  • All bodies must cover entire chassis

  • All bodies need a full windshield and full rear window

  • No Convertible tops allowed in this series. A full roll cage covering the entire interior is needed for this series if you run a convertible top.

  • Half doors, tube doors are allowed. Tube doors must be at least 2 tubes 1”apart from bottom tube to top tube and must be secured shut like all doors.

  • No dovetailing

  • No Front fender pinching

  • Front/Rear Fenders must cover 80% of your tire.

  • Fender Flares allowed. Extreme fender flares will be disqualified. 

  • Fender Flares must be used for the make they are made for, for example, no Jeep/Willy's shaped fenders for your D110 Truck so you can cut the wheel wells to that shape. 

  • Approved 3D printed bodies only: Contact us for approval 

INTERIOR:

  • Full 3D interior's are required - seats for all spots that would have a seat, floor board, dashboard, steering wheel, console/shifters, etc

  • Inner door skins are not needed, but will help in other ways.

  • The entire interior/cockpit must be constructed of plastic/ABS/Styrene/tin/metal/foam board

  • Molded interiors in bodies, like New Bright, must adhere to the scale guide lines but are accepted as 3D interiors.

  • Roll bar/headache bar is a must for open roof bodies. If using a cap, no need for a roll bar.

  • Scale Drivers must resemble a human figure.

  • All interiors must be deep enough for your scale drivers to be whole from the knees up.

FRONT BUMPER:

  • Front Bumper must be made of metal/aluminum

  • All bumpers must be attached to the chassis

  • You MUST have a scale winch on your front bumper, whether you use that or a servo winch. 

  • The servo winch line MUST go through the scale winch, if it’s static.

  • The front/face of the bumper must be a minimum 1” from the front of the body or a 2” minimum from the front/face of the front tire to the front/face of the bumper.

  • Front bumper must cover the entire front width of your body, excluding fender flares

  • See Examples* 

REAR BUMPER: 

  • Rear bumper must be made of metal/aluminum

  • All bumpers must be attached to the chassis

  • Rear bumper must cover the entire width of the rear of the body, excluding fender flares

  • The rear bumper must not be under the body. 

  • You must have a trailer hitch. Attached to the chassis or rear bumper

  • The rear bumper must have at least 2 recovery points. 

    • Exception tube bumpers

CHASSIS: 

  • No Angled Skids

  • Skid design must be center of chassis - no forward skid designed chassis

SUSPENSION:

  • No Shocks over 90mm

  • No Suspension/Shocks can protrude from the body/bed

  • Max Wheel Base 334mm / 13.15” - BRX02

AXLES:

  • Shaft Driven axles

  • Two axles only

  • Must resemble real axles 

  • No shift levers from open to locked axles, they must remain locked at all times

  • No Servo on axle

  • No portal axles

  • No worm drive axles

  • No MOA (motor on axle)

  • No IFS/IRS

TIRES:

  • Max Tires size 4.19 - True Diameter - Measured The tire must not measure bigger than 4.19 regardless what the sidewall numbers say.

  • 1.55/1.7/1.9 wheel size only

  • No Stretching tires over different wheel sizes.

LIGHTS:

  • Head lights

  • Tail Lights 

RECOVERY:

  • Sand Ramps

  • Scale Land Anchor

  • Hook points on all four corners of the build

  • Recovery Straps

SAFETY: 

  • First Aid Kit 

  • Fire Extinguisher
